Whitney, a senior left handed pitcher at Aledo HIgh, went 31–0 with an ERA of 0.07 (two earned runs in 198) and 382 strikeouts to lead the Ladycats to a 38-1-1 record, the Class 4A championship and the No. 1 ranking in USA Today's national poll.

Ryann, a senior at Methacton High, ran the nation's fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles (58.96) this season and defended her title at the Penn Relays. At the Class AAA meet she won the 300 hurdles (for the fourth time), the long jump (her third time) and the high jump.

Anna, a junior at Roseville Area High, won the Class 2A championship in the uneven bars (9.850) for the second straight year and also took the title in the all-around (38.425) and balance beam (9.875). She helped the Raiders win their third consecutive state championship.

Aramide, a sophomore at Woodberry Forest School, is first team All–Virginia Prep League as a sprinter and defensive end. He won the 200 meters and was second in the 100 at the league meet; he also led the tigers with seven sacks and was first-team all-state.

Anna, a junior at Lewis Mills High, won the 5,000 meters at the Nike Indoor Nationals by more than 10 seconds (17:38.57). She is the state record holder in the mile (4:48.2) and was fourth in the event at the Penn Relays. She is the New England champ in the 1,000.

Brittany, A senior pitcher at Westwood High, struck out 39 batters in a1-0 loss to Stony Point, giving up an unearned run in the 21st inning. This year the right-hander is 18-9 with an .076 ERA and 338 strikeouts in 183 innings. She will play for LSU next fall.

J.T. a freshman left wing at Notre Dame Preparatory, scored two goals, including the overtime game-winner, to lead the Saints to the Arizona High School Hockey Association title. He had 31 goals and 12 assists and has been drafted by the Western Hockey League.

Finck, a senior at Madison High, finished second in the balance beam, floor exercise, uneven bars and all-around in the Class A individual competition, as the Lady Bulldogs set a national record with their 14th straight state title. She won the all-aroud in 2005.

Rachel, a senior pole vaulter at Vanderbilt Catholic High, cleared 14 feet at the Nollie Arcement Relays, second-best ever among high school girls. A five-time indoor and outdoor state champion, she has twice been Gatorade state track and field athlete of the year.
