Garrett, a senior quarterback at Lake Travis High who has committed to Texas, was named Gatorade National Football Player of the Year. He completed 256 of 372 passes for 4,231 yards and 48 TDs this season, and he led the 14-0 Cavaliers to the Class 4A state title.
Play Video Washaun, a senior running back at Emanuel County Institute, set the Georgia High School Association career record for touchdowns with 138, 27 more than the old mark. Last season he broke the single-season TD record, with 58. He has committed to Georgia.

Lindsay, a senior at Osceola High, is the first female in state history to win the WIAA Division II State Championship four years in a row. She was named the Wisconsin Golf Coaches Association player of the year for the second consecutive year.

Mike, a senior at Wootton High, threw for 451 yards in a 36-7 win over Blair, setting a Maryland public-school record for passing yards in a game. His 2,949 passing yards helped 7-3 Wootton to its first state playoff appearance since 1991.

Ashley, a homeschooled junior, beat five-time champion Jessica Patterson to win the Women's Motocross Association Championship in her first year as a pro. Ashley, who is deaf, was nominated fro sportswoman of the year by the Women's Sports Foundation.
